Welcome to the My City Underground Forum.  We are a creative community of musicians, record labels, A&Rs, promoters, DJs, artists, and songwriters.  My City Underground is a place where you can rep your style of artistic expression and network with those that appreciate it.  We welcome these talented individuals from all genres to network, promote, and get work.  MCU provides a platform for you to get the connections you need to advance your career and allows you to continue to earn a living at what you are passionate about!

General Forum Rules:

1) This site's operating language is English.

2) MCU operates on a 3 strike rule, once a member has reached 3 strikes she/he will be banned indefinately.

3) Absolutely no profanity/swearing or name calling (in any language!) will be tolerated on MCU.com. Each post will be deleated by a Mod/Admin, and the posting member will have 1 strike against her/him.

4) Pornography of any type is absolutely NOT ALLOWED! any pornography posting member will not be issued a strike, but will immidately be banned indefinately from MCU.com.

5) Please remember to treat fellow members with Respect, as it is the most important aspect of communication and discussion.It is ok to disagree with the opinion of other members, but we will not tolerate rudeness and negative sarcasm.

6)  MCU.com is a music industry and related topics forum, so please do not divert from this subject.

7) We welcome members from all over the world. As each Nation deals with it's own issues, No Political/Religious discussions, opinions or news are allowed anywhere on this forum.

8) Health/Personal Life Problem's/Issues are not to be discussed in any section of this forum.

9) Advertising is NOT ALLOWED! (Please email us at mycityug@gmail.com for ad options & rates) All posts will be deleted.
It is ok to inform other member's about store promotions, events, etc. We are here to inform & be informed about the music industry and related topics.

10) Spammers will be automaticaly banned indefinitely from our forum. All spam content will be removed as soon as possible.

11) If you are a Graphic Designer/Artist you can post photos of your products,and discuss your designs  in the general forum of this site.To advertise your product please contact us.

12)  MCU.com allows only one (1) account per member, any additional accounts will be deleated from our system.

13) If you see any suspicious activity, for ex. Spam, Profanity,Pornography, please notify one of the sections Mod's or Admin immediately. Please help us keep MCU.com a spam-free community, so that all members feel welcome, and can enjoy their stay.Thank You.

14) Selling/Trading is allowed on mycityundergroundl.com inside the classified area ONLY.

15) We do not want to promote products from unverified sources, therefore ebay.com, overstock.com, or other auction site links are not allowed. Members can post auction item number's to ask options of other member's.

16) Links to competitor forums and blogs are prohibited. Member's may be subject to an indefinite ban.

17) We promote Authentic Items,Designs and Products ONLY! all Replica/Fake/and wholesale info will be immidately deleated.Member's are subject to a minimum 7 day suspension. Please note: Replica's are Illegal !!!!! To Check the Authenticity of a product you are looking to purchase, you can post to members of the forum.

18) Members under 18 yrs. old are not allowed on mycityunderground.com. Parental permission is required.


19) User names are not to include any phrases and that would adveritse any products or services, etc. (ex.www.MyCityUnderground.com)

20)  Signatures are not to include advertisement of any product or service for sale, or direct website links.  Banner's are also not allowed. The font size is to be no more than 12. This way member posts are easily readable. Music Industry related blog's are allowed to be used as signatures. No blog should re-direct to a sales/ replica/or other music forum website.No pornography blogs allowed.

Posting Rules:
1) Please do not re-post photos, we'd like to keep as much space available for new attachments/photos.When quoting another member's post, remember to check for photos and remove them.

2) Please don't post in CAPS, in forum language this means yelling. All Caps postings will be modified by a Moderator.

3) All images/photo's must be credited with a source name.For ex. Photo Source: Getty Images.

4) Before posting a new thread, please search to see if the same or similar thread doesn't already exist.  Moderators have the right to remove and/or merge same threads.


These rules have been designed to control the quality of mycityunderground.com, We hope that every member will abide by these rules. Member's are asked to immidately report any suspicious members/posts that do not comply with mycityunderground.com rules.

Avatar Guidelines

One of the perks of continued membership is having a custom signature for your posts. The contents of your sig must be acceptible for our community,

and shall not contain any profanity, vulgarity, or insults/disparaging comments to our community or its members. In addition, comments and/or links

that represent direct competition are not allowed.  

• Keep your signature and avatar in good taste, the contents of your signature must be acceptable for the community: no vulgarity, lewd men/women, profanity or insults to other community members.
  
  
• If you use an image as your signature, it should be no larger than 486 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall. Your avatar will be limited to 100 pixels  by 100 pixels.

• Animation should be kept to a minimum and both your signature and avatar shouldn't be too distracting.

• Keep the size of any images in your signature below 50KB. Your avatar will be limited to a size of 14.6KB.

• If you don't want to use an image in your signature, you can have up to six lines of text (with a maximum font size of 2).

• Do not include spam, harassing links or affiliate links in your signature.
  
  However, we will not object to you posting links to either your personal websites or other commercial projects which you support. This is a privilege which you are allowed as a contributing user.
  
  Comments and/or links that represent direct competition are not allowed.
• Do not create fake signatures. If you are not yet entitled to having a signature (because you have not been here for 30 days or don't have 30 posts) you are not allowed to create a fake signature, where you post the same text or links at the bottom of every post. Your posts may be edited and you may receive a warning.

Any signature violating these rules will be considered spam. The signature will be deleted and the offending member will be addressed by our moderators.

Reputation Rules

Reputation should be used to reward users for informative and insightful posts. It should not be used to reward jokes, and pointless topics and posts.

If you see that someone has been repped multiple times in one post, think hard about repping them again. Go find another user to reward. There are many contributing users to the forum who still have a low reputation.
